UPDATED: RIM To Release 4G LTE Blackberry Playbook

Even though RIM has discontinued their Blackberry Playbook 16GB, they are set to release a 4G LTE model at $550, which MobileSyrup has confirmed after seeing an internal Bell document. It is also expected to launch on July 31, 2012! It will feature a 7-inch screen, with a 1024 x 600 resolution, 1.5 GHz Dual-core processor, 4G LTE, OS 2, 1GB RAM, 5MP Rear camera (1080p video), 3MP Front camera, 4800 mAh battery, and will only come in a 32GB model.

The price is startling - as the current Playbook (wifi, 32GB) retails for about $250, so it's about a $300 premium for LTE. As commented by a member on MobileSyrup, this kinda sums it up:
The PB LTE will come out next week for:
$550 MSRP (Most Stupid Retail Price!)

UPDATE (July 25, 2012 10:46 PM PST): In the latest blow to RIM, The New York Times has announced that they are no longer supporting their NYTimes app for Blackberry OS, in favour of its web-based mobile site.

UPDATE 2 (August 2, 2012 12:57 PM PST): Rumours are that RIM will release their 4G tablet next week in Canada, followed by releases  in other countries. It is expected to be available on all 3 major Canadian carriers.
