September 5th - Windows Phone 8?

There is an expected media event in New York City for a Windows Phone announcement. Windows Phone 8 (Apollo) is expected to look similar to the current Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. Kernels and other technical aspects are expected to be the same (or similar to) Windows 8.

The following is expected in Windows 8 Phone:

• Multi-core CPU support
• Resolutions up to 1280 x 768
• External SD storage
• Internet Explorer 10
• In-app purchases
• Enterprise features
