Google Nexus Q : Part of the Nexus line up

The Google Nexus line up was created by Google to provide the purest form of Google for users to experience. The devices under the Nexus name provide the users with an Android experience how Google intended. The Nexus Q was made for the sole purpose of streaming music through your Android device.

It streams your favourite entertainment to your living room, kitchen or anywhere else you decide to put it. You can stream music at a party from your phone and all of your friends can add their own songs and change the playlist order straight from their own phones. Simply place your Android phone with NFC enabled near the Nexus Q and the app will instantly be downloaded to your phone (speed actually depends on your data speed). Anyone can be the DJ with the Nexus Q. You can also stream your  favourite movies to your TV through your phone and available for purchase on the Google Play store through the Nexus Q. The Nexus Q is also capable of streaming YouTube videos

The Nexus capable of powering your biggest TV or speakers thanks to its 25W class D built-in amp and a dual core ARM cortex A-9 cpu. The Nexus Q has a audiophile grade amplifier built in so you can hook up your speakers directly to the Nexus Q or use a toslink optical cable. Once you are playing, you can change the volume by simply turning the top half of the orb, or touch the top LED to mute.

The Nexus Q has a die-cast, precision machined zinc bottom, and an injection-moulded, interactive balanced top dome with precision bearing and satin touch coating. It also has a 32 RGB perimeter LED and 1 RGB LED for the mute indicator. According to Spike, it will retail for $300 (probably justified by its "Made in USA" status) and apparently is available for pre-order in Canada, which I cannot seem to do...  it is currently available for preorder in the Google Play store in the United States.
