2012 Gaming Year in Review : Assassin's Creed 3 (November)

As the fifth major installment of the acclaimed Assassin's Creed series, this game had some seriously big shoes to fill! Released on November 20th, 2012, the game does live up to all the hype.

Desmond Miles needs to travel back in time to prevent the 2012 apocalypse. He roams around 18th century colonial America completing tasks. This installment features the brand new Anvil Next engine that was built from scratch to utilize the power of current hardware providing a noticeably better gaming experience.

In-game graphics are excellent and everything is draw with the utmost care to detail. Assassin's Creed III features new weather simulations that make the gameplay more realistic. Seasons also change and it effects both visuals and the actual gameplay. For example, a snow storm helps increase in stealth by reducing visibility for both players and enemies. This game also features naval expeditions on the 'Aquila', the flagship of Assassin's Navy. Mulitplayer in this installment has also been revamped. There is now a co-op mode called the Wolfpack, and Domination where players will have to work with their team to defend and capture areas of the map.

This game is available on PC through Uplay or Steam, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. Assassin's Creed III goes balls deep and all thanks to Ubisoft Montreal!

In fact, November had many great games, so we decided to write a second article for later today - stay tuned!
