Earlier, Microsoft made a post on its Xbox.com blog, saying that Battlefield 4's release date would be October 29, 2013 on Xbox. EA, in the past, has released Battlefield games on the same day for all of the platforms (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC).
The post continues on to provide some information about the single-player component of the game. As EA has mentioned, it will feature the ability to direct squadmates, similarly to other games by the same publisher. There will also be leaderboards, which should help increase the replay value of the singleplayer component, given that the story is up to par. From what we've seen in the 17 minute trailer, the graphics and sound are still as expected from a Battlefield title, but some parts just seem too cinematic. Either way, the motivation is there, it's just up to DICE now.
